The corrections to the Handshake file have been completed in PROD. The corrections that were made are: (1) student isn't sent to HANDSHAKE until he/she starts at least one class and the drop period is less than sysdate -1; (2) reporting person as Alumni if they are awarded their active program on SHADEGR.
As a follow-up, we have an automatic sync process that will send the files to Handshake hands free. Please submit a helpdesk ticket (https://helpdesk.lctcs.edu/) to turn it on.

From my perspective, my vote is that we do it at the terminal level, which is when we know students will be leaving to enter the workforce and looking for jobs, unless they decide to enroll in a totally new program area. That way we would know also which students have left completely and which ones are still enrolled for survey data and outreach purposes.
I am assuming for Handshake - it must be either-or.
I like the way it is coded in Degreeworks. For example, if a student has a CTS in PTEC, it shows that he/she has been awarded the CTS, then outlines the courses remaining for an Associate degree.
Given the Handshake platform, I would agree with that it needs to be a terminal degree.
Since it would be simpler to classify more students, I believe it should be at any certificate level. There isn't yet a category for dropouts or incomplete students, so, they cannot be counted for. I'm guessing these students will still be active and we want to account for as many students as possible.

My further question from this is how to identify those students, especially on the workforce and dual enrollment side that are loaded in, that complete their course but are not taking any more classes or did not enroll in anything else. This also would be for someone earning a credential that could be considered a "completer" but that is continuing on in the program towards their next credential or the highest award.
